Introduction: We Can Be Heroes

This scope and sequence reflects the best of Raise Up resources, tied together to create a cohesive Bible based curriculum that takes the kids on a journey of faith and discovery. We can all be heroes by following Jesus, the biggest Hero of all.

Spring 2023: Jesus The Hero

Learning about Jesus life and teaching is crucial for developing kids’ faith. We start in January looking at the 60 second Bible Trek series Jesus that goes through key moments of His life.

Then we focus in our Jesus’ teaching in Mission Awesome (God Rocks). One Story have created a brilliant Easter series, Luke Rescue, all about Jesus our rescuer.

1st January-12th February

60 Second Bible Trek Jesus Enters - 7 lessons

In this 60 Sec Bible Trek series, we explore the stories of Jesus found in the gospels, discovering more about who he is and the central place he has in God's big story.

The message of God's awesome love is GOOD NEWS, and Jesus invites us to take it to the world! In this series, the God Rocks! welcome us to Mission HQ for some super-spikin' special agent training as we prepare to embark on the greatest mission the world has ever seen!

One Story Luke Rescue - 5 lessons

Jesus came to show us God's love and set up his kingdom. We see that in his life. We also see it in his death. In Jesus' death, we see an unassuming rescue. Jesus saves us from sin and death. He rescues us from a life of selfishness, loneliness, and sin to an eternal life with God.

Summer 2023: We Can Be Heroes

The summer season brings us to looking at the work of The Holy Spirit in our lives and a look at the Early Church. We start with The Fruit of The Spirit (Cheeky Pandas) then use the One Story series Living It -James as a way of applying James’ teaching to our lives. We focus in on New Testament heroes with look at The Apostles Big Start. Finally we bring everything back round to Jesus with a focus on the Lord’s Prayer (Prayer Power, God Rocks).

7th May - 28th May

Cheeky Pandas Fruit of the Spirit - 4 lessons

In this series the pandas go on adventures and learn about the different Fruit of the Spirit along the way. Every lesson is packed full of fun and games that will help children explore some key values.

When we call ourselves followers of Jesus, or Christians, we can't just say we follow Jesus, and not live like it. We must show it by how we live. Living for Jesus means living a different way, following in the way of Jesus as we understand it in Scripture, and as we work it through in community, the church.

Big Start The Apostles - 5 lessons
